A creative holiday workshop of meditation, singing, chanting, dance, art, and nature, held on the exotic Island of Crete.

A creative workshop: Suitable for anyone wishing to improve their knowledge of relationships and their relationship skills. We invite you to join us in exploring the Art of relationships through the Media of Voice i.e. Singing/Chanting also Movement/Dance/Role Play/Intuitive painting and Meditation.

The primary focus of this workshop will be on: Creating harmony in Relationships!

Finding the balance between the masculine (active) and/feminine (receptive) nature within ourselves and learning to relate from a sense of centred wellbeing!

Forming healthy and effective relationships with self and others is essential to achieve a happy, healthy, successful and enjoyable life style. Through the techniques and insights gained from the activities in this workshop you will achieve a greater understanding and ability to form supportive and effective relationships.

We will also explore the seven sacred seals of the chakra system and how they influence our masculine and feminine natures.

Sacred Dance

"This literally means holy dance, holy meaning healing. Meditation is a central element to this dance-form, as it can lead us to a deeper experience of our selves, and our inter relatedness with all things. Sacred Dance is performed using a variety of music styles ranging from folklore, classical, religious and new age. Dances portray the symbolic forms of the circle, the cross, the spiral and the labyrinth. Sacred dance is an alternating interchange between concentration, joy and stillness". - Gertrude Arents.

Intuitive Art therapy

"This is a combination of creative visualization and freedom of expression using Art as the form. This unique approach to painting allows the intuitive mind a vehicle of expression, often resulting not only in inspired works of art but self healing and self-realization. Mary Zitman, Gertrude Arents and John Christian, have been presenting workshops together for several years. They are highly qualified trainers in their various fields of discipline.

We invite you to join us on this creative workshop holiday! A healthy environment of sun, sea and the beauty of nature will help to support you on your journey.

The programme for the weeks' workshop will take place in the morning and the late afternoon. Early afternoon and evening allows participants free time to enjoy the local surroundings. One group excursion will also be included during the week.

Achlia Apartments

Our apartment complex, Achlia, is ideally situated on the south-east coast of Crete, approximately 16 km east of lera Petra and close to the fishing village of Aghia Fotia, (within walking distance of the apartments) The village has several restaurants, cafes, sea view terraces and supermarkets, along with beautiful bays, beaches and a scenic back land for nature walks.

Achia, has spacious two-rooms-apartments with balcony and sea views, a living/bedroom and separated bedroom for two persons, and fully furnished kitchenette, and bathroom. Spacious single rooms are available on request.

The complex has a large swimming pool with reclining sun-loungers and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our workshop requirements.

A popular beach restaurant lies approximately 150 metres from the complex.

Booking and Travel information

When travelling from the UK, you are free to make your own flight arrangements to Heraklion in Crete. We have found that most participants prefer to have this option as there are so many discount carriers, and choice of Airports available in the UK. Please ensure that you arrive in time for the start of the programme.

Travel from Holland: 25th May to 5th of June 2006 If you wish to travel with the Dutch group from Amsterdam, you should request to fly with the group lead by Gertrude Arents.(Nearly all of the Dutch participants speak English).
